FIELD: cattle breeding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an animal ear tag. Ear tag can be attached in accordance with target purpose to animal's ear by means of tenon, which passes from base plate or rear label through passage hole in auricle ear auricle along stud axis into hole in ear tag and is fixed in it. Aural animal tag has a body which encloses an electronic unit and a battery, and a label surface on which animal identification information can be seen in the form of directly readable symbols in accordance with the intended purpose. Label surface is located under housing, when ear tag for animals is attached to animal. Centre of gravity of the body and the parts enveloped with it lies within the section which passes downwards from the axis of the stud, and is not more than 2 cm, and is not wider than 1 cm in the horizontal direction, which is located perpendicular to the axis of the stud.
EFFECT: technical result consists in fixing an ear tag in a given position without swinging or turning relative to the animal's ear.
