FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely cardiovascular surgery, and applicable for modifying a surface of endocardial electrodes by polymer coatings containing drug substances providing prolonged release in biological mediums. The method involves pre-treatment of the surface with a surfactant, applying the carrier polymer coating which is presented by polyhydroxybutyrate, and the dug substance is mixed Na-phosphate dexamethasone (or its derivatives) and dipyridamole in the relations of (1-6):(0.3-0.5) in total weight of the drug substances 15-35% of carrier polymer weight. Drying the treated surface is two-staged - after pre-treatment and after coating.
EFFECT: using the method provides higher duration of release of the drug substances from the polymer coating into surrounding biotissue.
