FIELD: pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for targeted delivery of medicinal compounds and their controlled release for local therapy of various diseases. For this purpose, the following is proposed: a multilayer film for the delivery of biologically active substances to the patient’s body, intended for placement on the skin or mucous membranes or for fixation on the surface of a medical product or device implanted into the patient’s body, eluting at least one biologically active substance, including the following: a main layer and protective layers consisting of a biocompatible, biodegradable, water-insoluble synthetic polymer other than polyvinyl alcohol, and having a continuous surface of uniform thickness over the entire area; and applied to the base layer at least one medicinal layer consisting of polyvinyl alcohol with at least one biologically active substance included. The main layer, together with the medicinal layer applied to it, is covered on top with a protective layer, designed so that the medicinal layer or the set of all medicinal layers, if there are several of them, is sealed between the main and protective layers. If there are several medicinal layers, they are located above each other and separated from each other by a separating layer made of a biocompatible, biodegradable, water-insoluble synthetic polymer other than polyvinyl alcohol. It is also proposed to use the specified multilayer film for the delivery of biologically active substances to the patient’s body.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain films capable of containing an increased amount of medicinal compounds and having the ability to adjust the release time of the active substance within a wide range.
