FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering for producing catalysts for curing organosilicon compositions. Disclosed is a method of producing a catalyst for curing organosilicon polymer compositions, involving reaction of chloroplatinic acid with unsaturated organosilicon compounds in a solvent medium followed by heating, addition of sodium bicarbonate, filtration of the reaction products and removal of volatile compounds, wherein the unsaturated organosilicon compound used is a mixture of halosilanes of general formula: CH2=CH-SiR1R2 X, where radicals R1=CH3; C2H5; C2H3; C3H5; C3H7; C4H9; C6H5; R=CH3; C2H5; C2H3; C3H5; C3H7; C4H9; C6H5; C6H11; X=Cl; Br, and the solvent used is a mixture of ethanol, isopropanol and toluene taken in ratio 20:5:14 respectively. Use of the mixture of halosilanes of different structure in catalyst synthesis enables to control activity, stability and selectivity of the obtained catalysts in a wide range.
EFFECT: obtained catalyst contains Pt(0) and does not contain ionic impurities which are removed during the purification process.
