FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: x-ray crawler includes the first and the second self-moving support wheel assemblies connected to the first and the second instrument-accumulator compartments respectively. Compartments are connected to each other by means of trough-shaped tray with X-ray apparatus located on it. Tray consists of two parts connected by means of lower part of split ring installed between compartments. Ring is made from conducting material weakly absorbing X-ray radiation. Focus of X-ray apparatus is in the middle of split ring the upper and lower parts of which are electrically insulated from each other, and upper part of which is electrically insulated from housing of X-ray apparatus. Each self-moving support wheel assembly consists of two pairs of wheels, each of which is connected through supports adjustable as to length to support platform connected through damping sleeve to the axis fixed on the appropriate instrument-accumulator compartment. As per the second version the instrument-accumulator compartments are connected to each other by means of X-ray apparatus housing.

EFFECT: improving operating properties of X-ray crawler due to its compact design and manoeuvrability.
