FIELD: automatic control of electric circuits.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes counting of time equal to delay in operation of network automatic load transfer center plus operating time of its circuit breaker protective gear from moment of inrush short-circuit current flow through main power supply transformer bus at the same time checking for inrush short-circuit in standby power supply buses, and if it appears upon ON-operation of automatic load transfer center circuit breaker and inrush short-circuit current fails to disappear at moment of total time reading termination, fact of failure of automatic load transfer center OFF-operation with its circuit breaker turned on to respond to steady short circuit in ring circuit is ascertained.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
