FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. A cotyloid cavity comprises: a metal insert cup containing substantially a hemisphere convex outer attachment side attached in the cotyloid cavity of a patient's hip joint, and a concave receiving side with a ring end; a ceramic terminal fixed hinge section having an outer side getting into the concave receiving side of the insert cup, and a receiving inner side containing substantially a hemisphere concave hinge surface facilitating the placing and the rotation of an artificial femoral head or a movable hinge section. The terminal fixed section has a thickness is equal to approximately 4 mm or less. The insert cup comprises a receiving ring structure projecting from the receiving side of the terminal fixed hinge section arranged in the insert cup and comprising a receiving ring side designed so that an impactor can be fastened on this receiving ring side in the presence of the ceramic terminal fixed hinge section. Near the ring end, the insert cup has a thickness equal to approximately 4 mm or less and exceeding 2 mm. A method for making the artificial cotyloid cavity involves the following stages: a) preparing the metal insert cup with the concave receiving side and the projecting receiving ring structure; b) preparing the ceramic hinge section with the outer side and the concave hinge surface; c) the hinge section is inserted in the concave receiving side of the insert cup; d) the complex prepared as described above is sterilised in an antimicrobial protective shell.

EFFECT: inventions provide simultaneous reduction of a risk of femoral luxation and a risk of ceramic section breaking as during the insertion in the patient's cotyloid cavity, and during the further use of the prosthesis.
