FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for the assembly of a femoral component of a knee joint prosthesis, according to the first option, provides for the use of a femoral test structure with a surgical instrument, which includes a support platform and a stabilizing bracket. The femoral test structure includes a pin that forms the first axis and a test displacement adapter that forms the second axis offset relatively to the first axis. Actions of the method, according to the first option, are combination of the location of the femoral test structure on the support platform, rotation of the support platform to place the first axis and the second axis in a plane passing vertically through the stabilizing bracket, extension of the stabilizing bracket along the vertically passing plane to engage the stabilizing bracket with the femoral test structure, locking of the support platform to prevent rotation relatively to the stabilizing bracket, placement of the femoral prosthesis component on the support platform after removal of the femoral test structure so that the third axis formed by a proximal pin of the femoral prosthesis component is located in the plane, placement of the femoral displacement adapter on the proximal pin, while the femoral displacement adapter includes the proximal end, which forms the fourth axis offset relatively to the third axis, rotation of the proximal end of the femoral displacement adapter to place the fourth axis in the vertically passing plane, and attachment of the femoral displacement adapter to the femoral prosthesis component, while the third axis and the fourth axis are located in the plane. The method for the assembly of the femoral component of the knee joint prosthesis, according to the second option, includes the rotation of the support platform of the surgical instrument around a vertically passing axis, attachment of a holder to the support platform, attachment of a gasket to the holder, installation of the first femoral prosthesis component on the holder, while the first femoral prosthesis component includes a pair of condyles spaced at a certain distance, an inter-condyle slot, dimensions of which ensures the placement of the gasket, and a proximal pin, and the attachment of the second femoral prosthesis component on the proximal pin of the first femoral prosthesis component.
EFFECT: inventions provide for a possibility of assessment of the fit, range of movement and other parameters of the patient’s joint, and of helping the surgeon in choosing components of an orthopedic prosthesis for implantation.
