FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, particularly a semi-solid delayed and controlled release composition and to methods for preparing it. The composition contains a) biologically degradable polymer or copolymer with unreactive terminal groups of molecular weight 500-5000 Da and having an alkyl residue of carboxylic acid instead of its termination, b) at least one active substance or their mixture, and wherein the composition releases the active substance for a period of at least one week, without any viscosity breaking aid or excipient.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides implant/depot formation when it is introduced parenterally and thereby causes delayed release of the drug.
