SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely an injection device having a dose adjustment mechanism which when used provides energy storage in a spring component, i.e. to so-called 'an auto injection device'. The injection device for drug dose injection comprises the dose adjustment mechanism actuated to adjust a desired dose, an injection mechanism, an electronic dose volume detector and/or an electronic injected dose volume detector, and an electronic display. The dose adjustment mechanism operates to store energy in the spring component. The injection mechanism comprises a piston rod coupled with a piston arranged inside a cartridge which contains an injected drug, and providing adjusted dose delivery from the cartridge through the injection device. The injection mechanism is actuated by release of the energy stored in the spring component during dose adjustment The electronic display presents an adjusted dose and/or an injected dose for the user. The electronic dose volume detector and/or the electronic injected dose volume detector are designed to detect the motions of the movable component which are able to rotate in two opposite directions and which in one of said directions are exposed to elastic effort.

EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of drug dispensing thereby reducing negative effects on the patients because of the correct drug dispensing.
