FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises measuring cylinder pressure in function of camshaft turn angle, computing first polytropic exponent for compression stroke on the basis of said measurement, computing second polytropic exponent for compression stroke on the basis of said measurement, first and second exponents are interpolated for camshaft turn angle range between compression and expansion strokes to compute resultant heat emission proceeding from interpolated exponent.
EFFECT: accelerated computation of heat emission.
