FIELD: fuel supply control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel supply control systems for internal combustion engines (ICE). The proposed control system for internal combustion engines includes a control unit. The control unit causes the in-cylinder injectors to perform pilot injections followed by the main injection, as well as additional injections during a temperature increase request. The temperature increase request is a request to increase the exhaust gas temperature. The target ignition delay obtaining unit of the control unit obtains the target ignition delay, which is the predetermined ignition delay of the main fuel injected into the cylinders during the main injection. The pilot injection target amount setting unit of the control unit sets the pilot injection target amount for the pilot injection, which can ensure that the post-injection amount for the post-injection is sufficient. The main injection timing setting unit of the control unit sets the main injection timing at which the main fuel injected into the cylinders burns at the target ignition delay along with the pilot injection having the target pilot injection amount.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively increase the exhaust gas temperature.
