FIELD: engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in internal combustion engines. Internal combustion engine system (10) comprises cylinder pressure sensor (30), crankshaft turning angle sensor (42), sealing section and electronic control unit (40). Heat release value calculator, first ratio calculator and means of seal malfunction determination are implemented by electronic control unit (40). Cylinder pressure sensor (30) comprises cylindrical housing, pressure sensing element, which is arranged at said housing one end and made with possibility to take up cylinder pressure, and pressure measuring element located inside housing. Pressure measuring element is made with possibility to generate output signal in accordance with applied compression load. Crankshaft turning angle sensor (42) measures crankshaft turning angle. Sealing section seals space between cylinder pressure sensor housing (30) external surface and combustion chamber wall (14) surface, which surrounds housing. Heat release value calculator is intended for calculation of heat release value in cylinder, that is amount of heat released during combustion, based on cylinder pressure data, which represent data, relating to cylinder pressure, measured by cylinder pressure sensor (30). First ratio calculator is intended for calculation of first ratio, which is ratio of heat release value decreasing in relation to crankshaft turning angle increase during expansion stroke from crankshaft turning angle, whereby heat release value, calculated by heat release value calculator, shows maximum value, before outlet valve opening. Means for seal malfunction determination is intended to determine presence or absence of faults in seal sealing section sealing operation based on first ratio and engine speed.

EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention cylinder pressure measuring error.
