FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: device to determine friction coefficient comprises automotive wheel loading system fitted directly on car wheel axle to load wheel with vertical load. Besides, device includes system to load it with torque. Note here that first and second loading systems are integrated and consist of foundation with screw supports to position the latter in height relative to roadway. Said foundation supports reduction gear with output cantilever shaft supporting assembly to transmit torque to tested wheel that consists of hooks to be locked on wheel rim by turnbuckles. Note here that torque spanner is fitted on reduction gear input shaft to measure moment of force applied to wheel as well as vertical load acting on tested wheel. Note also that weight is arranged on said output cantilever shaft to displace over its length and be locked by lock nuts.
