FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: system is proposed to track movement of objects in a subsurface medium, which may be used to track flow dynamics in a fluid medium, such as a mining rock, or to track people movement or moving objects under the surface level. Multiple elements of underground positioning system (UPS) located in a subsurface environment send specific signals to multiple antennas that transmit these signals to a data processing device. Therefore the system detects change of position of a UPS element to calculate movement of a fluid mass or positions and movements of people or objects under the surface level.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of movement tracking in subsurface environment.
