ACOUSTOOPTICAL DISPERSION DELAY LINE Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G02F1/11

Abstract RU 2453878 C1

FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices to control laser radiation. A delay line comprises an acoustic line installed along with light distribution from an anisotropic crystal of paratellurite made in the form of a prism. On one face of the prism there is a piezoconverter with a linear phase characteristic that excites ultrasonic waves with different directions of phase and group speed distribution, which are reflected from an inlet optical face of the prism so that direction of group speed distribution of the reflected ultrasonic wave matches direction of light distribution. On the opposite face of the acoustic line there is an absorber of ultrasonic waves. The axis of the falling light beam is perpendicular to the inlet optical face of the prism, and vector of its polarisation matches the axis [110] of the crystal. The axis of the outlet diffracted light beam is collinear to the axis of the falling one, at the same time its vector of polarisation is perpendicular to the axis [110] of the crystal. The outlet optical face forms an angle from 2 to 7 degrees with the inlet face in the plane [110] of the crystal. The acoustic face of the acoustic line, on which a piezoconverter is installed, forms an angle from 58 to 122 degrees with the inlet optical face in the plane [110] of the crystal. The piezoconverter is made in the form of a plate from a crystal of lithium niobate having thickness of 15-60 mcm by the method of vacuum technology on the basis of interdiffusion into chemically active nanostructures of chrome, gold, indium with formation of intermetallic compounds.

EFFECT: invention provides for reduction of control capacity, higher spectral resolution and increased time of optical delay.
