FIELD: laser technology and acousto-optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser technology and acousto-optics, in particular, it can be attributed to acousto-optic (AO) devices for two-coordinate deflection of laser beams. The specified effect is achieved as follows. The two-coordinate acousto-optic device consists of a light and sound conductor made of a single crystal of the group of potassium-rare-earth tungstates with the general chemical formula KRE(WO4)2, where RE=Y, Yb, Gd and Lu, and having an entrance optical face with an antireflection coating, perpendicular to the dielectric crystal of the Np axis, the output optical facet with an antireflection coating, parallel to the input optical facet, the first acoustic facet, parallel to the dielectric axis Np of the single crystal and making an angle from minus 55 to minus 30 degrees to the dielectric axis Nm of the single crystal, the second acoustic facet parallel to the dielectric axis Np of the single crystal and making an angle from plus 30 to plus 60 degrees to the dielectric axis Nm of the single crystal and an angle from 80 to 100 degrees to the first acoustic facet, the first and second shear piezoelectric transducers based on lithium niobate single crystals attached to the first and the second acoustic faces, respectively, in also from the first and second electrical matching systems, the outputs of which are connected to the inputs of the first and second piezoelectric transducers, respectively, and the inputs to the outputs of the control system, and in the laser source, the output of the laser beam radiation is directed to the input optical face.
EFFECT: invention ensures the operability of a 2D AO device based on one single crystal with unpolarized high-power laser radiation of the visible and near-IR wavelength ranges.
