FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be applied for performing cryosurgical operations. For this purpose cryo-applicator is preliminarily cooled by liquid nitrogen to temperature lower than - 120°C. Then, its contact surface is submerged into layer of ethanol for several seconds to form on it thin layer 0.2-0.5 mm of continuous solid condensate. After that, cryo-applicator is applied to area of tissue which is being frozen and forced cooling to -200°C is carried out.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase speed of advancement of tissues freezing front and, in such a way, suppress natural resistibility of cells to almost shock cardio-destruction, there is not necessary of forced heating of cryo-applicator.
