FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to neurosurgery and can be applied in surgical treatment of ternary nerve neuralgia, caused by neurovascular conflict. Essence of method lies in opening cells of mastoid process and further formation of hemostatic sponge fragments by the number of opened cells. Shape of each fragment surface follows the shape and surface area is 10-15% larger than surface of corresponding in shape opened cell. Formed in such a way fragments of hemostatic sponge are impregnated until saturation with 0.5% alcoholic solution of chlorhexidine. After that they are used to tampon corresponding in shape opened cells of mastoid process. Then cells of mastoid process are filled with surgical wax. After that neurovascular conflict is eliminated.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of surgical treatment of ternary nerve neuralgia due to prevention of possibility of development of liquorrhea and infection of intracranial content in postoperative period.
