FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used for surgical treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, induced by neurovascular conflict. For this purpose retrosigmoid access on neuralgia side is performed. After that liquor is evacuated from lateral cistern of brainstem pons (BP) into sterile reservoir. Temperature of evacuated liquor during operation is supported constant. After that, neurovascular conflict is eliminated. The, lateral BP cistern is filled with evacuated liquor. Wound id sutured layer-by-layer.
EFFECT: method ensures preservation of biological composition of liquor due to filling lateral BP cistern with evacuated liquor, whose temperature equals liquor temperature at the moment of sampling from cistern and which is supported constant during operation, which in its turn prevents possibility of development of intracranial hypotension syndrome in postoperative period.
