FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovery of filter granulated layer with contamination accumulated in filtration of fluid flow. Proposed method comprises creating flow of clean filtrate with low flow discharge in backflow conditions. Then, filtration medium is loosened to destruct contamination accumulated on surface or around filtration medium granules by feeding jetting gas mixed with clean fluid thereto. Jetting flow is distributed over filtration medium via multiple radial nozzles arranged inside filtration layer. Radial nozzles disperse the gas inside fluid and filtration medium to cause turbulence and loosening of granules so that entrapped contaminants are released at low fluid flow rate. Quantity of nozzles and their arrangement inside filtration layer are selected subject to size and shape of the filter and type of filtration medium. Amount of water and gas flowing through nozzles is regulated to allow uniform cleaning of the entire filtration layer. Every radial nozzle comprises two horizontal and parallel round disks spaced apart to make cylindrical gap for compressed gas and jetting fluid flow to escape through. Proposed device is made up of filtration vessel composed of multiple filtration chambers each incorporating granulated filtration medium and multiple radial nozzles arranged in said medium for distribution of jetting flow in cleaning and recovery during filtration.
EFFECT: reduced amount of consumed filtrate.
