FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorbents used for treatment of effluents and solution in hydrometallurgy. Sodium silicate solution is added to water dispersion of humin-containing material. Granules are produced to be dried, processed by mineral acid solution, and rinsed. Sorbent granule dewatering is performed by spinning and microwave irradiation. After rinsing, granules are dehydrated unless porous vitreous shell appear on granule surface.
EFFECT: accelerated process, higher mechanical strength.
