FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: cesium sorbent is obtained in form of particles of natural microcline analogue. Amorphous silica is dissolved in potassium hydroxide at temperature from 15 to 80°C. Obtained solution is mixed with solution of soluble aluminium salt until neutral pH is obtained. Formed sediment is separated. It is subjected to purification and dehydration. Natural microcline analogue with particles coarseness with diameter preferably 10-20 nm is applied. In addition, component ratio in the synthesis is taken calculated for obtaining material with formula KAlSi3O8 counted for water-free material. Duration of process of keeping mixture of products of hydrothermal processing of mixture of finely dispersed silica with solution of aluminium-containing soluble aluminium salt constitutes not more than 4 hours.

EFFECT: increased sorption capacity of sorbent and simplification of technology of its obtaining with reduction of duration of synthesis process, increased stability of sorbent working parameter, extension of raw material base for its production.
