SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lubricant compositions, glass fibres partially coated with lubricant compositions, and composite materials reinforced with glass fibres. The lubricant composition contains a maleic anhydride copolymer, a binding agent and an alkoxylated amine and polycarboxylic acid reaction product which then reacts with an epoxy compound in amount of 40 wt % of the weight of the composition. The invention enables to use glass fibres coated with a lubricant composition to reinforce thermoplastic and thermosetting resins, particularly polyamide resins.
EFFECT: compositions obtained using the treated glass fibres have improved mechanical properties.
