FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a curable polymer composition for producing a cured product containing (a) epoxy resin from 25 wt.% to 60 wt.% of the total weight of the curable polymer composition, (b) from 2 wt.% to about 12.5 wt.%, in terms of the total weight of the curable polymer composition, an aliphatic polyketone used as a reinforcing substance, and (c) from 15 wt.% to 40 wt.% of the total weight of the curable polymer composition of the hardener and from 15 wt.% to 25 wt.% of the total weight of the curable polymer composition of the additional hardening agent, where the epoxy resin is selected from a difunctional epoxy resin, a trifunctional epoxy resin, a tetrafunctional epoxy resin and a mixture thereof, the aliphatic polyketone is a terpolymer of carbon monoxide, ethylene and one of propylene, n-butene, n-octene or n-dodecene, the additional reinforcing agent includes polyethersulfone, polyethersulfone, polysulfone, polyimide, polyetherimide, polyamide, polyether, polyetheretherketone, polyurethane, polyurea, polyaryl ether, polyaryl sulphides, polycarbonates, modified polyphenylene oxide or mixture thereof. Also described is a fibre-reinforced polymer composition for making a composite article, containing reinforcing fibres and said curable polymer composition. Described is a method of producing a fibre-reinforced composite article, which includes the following steps: (i) bringing the reinforcing fibres into contact with said curable polymer composition in a mould for coating and/or impregnating the reinforcing fibres to produce said fibre-reinforced polymer composition; and (ii) curing the coated and/or impregnated reinforcing fibres at a temperature of not less than 60 °C. Described is a fibre-reinforced composite article obtained using said method.

EFFECT: cured product exhibiting high glass transition temperature, excellent mechanical properties and low moisture absorption.
