FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood serum is analysed on the 2-3 and 7 post-injury day to determine the concentration of malondialdehyde MDA and ceruloplasmin. The data derived on the 2-3 post-injury day are considered to be reference values. The values derived on the 7 post-injury day are measured with the reference, and if observing increasing the MDA concentration by ≥20% and decreasing the ceruloplasmin concentration by ≥9%, the developing bronchopulmonary complications are predicted. If observing increasing the MDA concentration by <20% and changing the ceruloplasmin concentration by <9%, the absence of the developing bronchopulmonary complications is predicted.
EFFECT: enabled earlier prediction of the developing bronchopulmonary complications in the patients with the cervical spine injures with keeping high accuracy of the results.
