FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood is sampled, and blood serum samples are prepared. Blood serum is examined by ELISA technique to evaluate the level of matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-9, anti-neuronal immunoglobulin anti-MAG, phosphorylated neurofilament pNF-H, myelin basic protein MBP, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase TIMP-1. It is followed by calculating a nerve tissue damage coefficient and a nerve tissue recovery coefficient The derived coefficients and their total value ΣCd+CR are used to describe a directivity of the nerve tissue remodelling process: in negative values - towards the nerve tissue damage, in positive values - towards the nerve tissue recovery.
EFFECT: invention enables higher objectivity of the assessment of nerve tissue remodelling in complicated cervical spine injury with higher sensitivity and specificity of the declared method.
