SUBSTANCE: in the display region of an image input/output panel there is a plurality of main sensors, each having a sensitivity wavelength region in form of a region Δλ23 of wavelengths of probing light for use in order to detect a near object, and a plurality of auxiliary sensors whose light-sensitiveness in the region of probing light wavelengths is lower than that of the main sensors in that region. Thus, using a composite image F formed based a difference image MS, obtained by main sensors, and the difference image NS formed by auxiliary sensors, information on the near object can be selected. Accordingly, even during movement of the near object in the display region of the image input/output panel, for example, generation of a false signal in the composite image F can be prevented.
EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting the position of an object regardless of conditions of use.
