FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: distinctive feature of the proposed method for detection of glaze on power transmission line wires consists in the fact that power transmission lines transmitting a continuous sinusoidal HF signal that has a narrow spectrum and does not interfere with the operation of the line HF apparatus (HF protections and HF communication).
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of glaze detection, marked simplification and cheapening of the method technical implementation.
