SUBSTANCE: according to the method for detection and determination of the place of appearance of ice coating on the power line cables, including its pulsed location sounding, the line is separated by natural locational irregularities on the individual marked areas. Fix an array of standard reflectograms in the form of electronic images of the line, with combinations of the delay of the pulses reflected from the inhomogeneities, with the possible presence of ice coatings on the marked sections of the line. To find areas with ice coating, the current reflectograms are compared to the ice coatings of the standard reflectograms, and distinguish by their coincidence the sections of the line with the ice coating. Determine by comparison the area with the largest ice coating from the measurements of the longest running delay time of the reflected pulses.
EFFECT: expansion of technological capabilities for local diagnostics of the state of the power lines by identifying sections of power line cables with the ice coatings and identifying areas with the greatest coating that can lead to the breakage of line cables.
