FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of multi-purpose fire extinguisher powder. The method involves mixing, drying, grinding the basic component and a water-repellent agent. The water-repellent agent used is a mixture of micro-marble with grain size composition less than 2 mcm (No.0.045 sieve residue less than 0.01%) and stearic acid and/or compounds thereof in ratio 1:(0.01-0.0001), and ratio of basic component to microadditives 1:(0.1-0.001). The basic component used can be sodium chloride, natural phosphorites, talc-magnesite, sylvinite, ammophos, sodium bicarbonate and dolomite.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain fire extinguisher powder with less susceptibility to water absorption and caking, high fire extinguishing power when extinguishing class B fire, as well as simple technique of producing fire extinguisher powder and reduced power consumption and time for its production.
