MULTI-PURPOSE FIRE-EXTINGUISHING POWDER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: fire-extinguishing powders for extinguishing classes A, B, C and E fires.

SUBSTANCE: fire-extinguishing powder includes ammophos, ammonium sulfate, waterproofed silicon dioxide and filler for a specified purpose. All above components are taken in amount of 1:(0.57 - 1.71):(0.14 - 0.86):(0.01- 0.14). Ammophos is used in the form of fine powder which is refuse of ammophos production with content of P₂O₅ in amount of 30% - 40% by weight. Ammophos has particle dimensions of 0.2 - 3.5 μm. Filler for a specified purpose is selected from apatite, talcous magnesite, dolomite, natural phosphorite in the form of phosphite flour or mixture of above components in relation of (0.02 - 1):(0.1 - 1.2):(0.2 - 0.8):1 and with particle dimensions of 40 - 180 μm.

EFFECT: increased resistance to caking, improved capabilities for extinguishing classes A, B and C fires, increased flowability during powder discharging from fire-extinguishing equipment.
