FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises selecting direction of cutting and cutting of metal from used vessel. Metal is cut from branch pipe edge end extending inside vessel by pendulum contour band machine with its swinging pendulum part axle parallel with branch pipe axis while metal cutting plane is parallel with metal inner part edge plane. Note here that metal cutting direction is selected via metal sample arc length from extreme departures of pendulum contour band machine in feeding the tool for thickness of metal sample defined by the difference between actual and decreased-length of union branch pipe inner part unless conditions of union fastening strength depletion are reached.

EFFECT: higher validity and accuracy of diagnostics.
