FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves selection of cutting place, cutting of metal from used equipment and its loading till a crack appears in it. First, revised stress calculation and evaluation of stress-deformation state of investigated metal is carried out, as per the results of which zone of maximum stresses and deformations is determined and graph of their changes is built up. The graph indicates peak of maximum deformations and stresses, which is the centre of specimens. At that, stress concentrators are located on non-treated side of the equipment that contacted with working medium so that one of them is located in the specimen centre, and two other concentrators are located on its both sides.

EFFECT: increasing the evaluation accuracy of strength and service life of oil-gas equipment when cyclic crack resistance test is conducted.
