FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: disturbance is introduced as per neutron flow in reactor active zone by movement of control bars of control and protection system in automatic control mode of neutron reactor power. Changes in neutron activity of isotope 17N of heat carrier are recorded for the time of its movement between two detectors. Heat carrier flow rate is calculated.
EFFECT: invention allows uniform monitoring of heat carrier flow rate with high accuracy and improving the reliability of measurement results.
