SUBSTANCE: what is presented is a method for genotyping PRDX1 rs 17522918 gene polymorphism providing conducting PCR with using specially specified pair of primers (F: 5'-ACACTCACCAGTCCCAACACAAG-3' and R; 5 '-CCACATCCCCCTCCTCTCTCTC-3') that is followed by the analysis of the PCR product by RFLP which involves BstH2I endonuclease processing and fractionation of the produced fragments in 2% agarose gel. The DNA fragments sized 81 and 84 base pairs are verified as a wild type CC homozygous genotype, the fragment sized 165 base pairs - as a homozygous mutant genotype AA, while the fragments 165 sized 81 and 84 base pairs - as a heterozygous genotype CA.
EFFECT: method under the invention is characterised by diagnostic simplicity and accuracy.
