FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmo-oncology. Forceps for an orbital tumour comprise two crossing branches with finger rings on one end of the branch and bent working portions on the other one. The working portion of one of the branches ends with a one-piece scoop, while the working portion of the other branch ends with a scoop with a window in the centre and radial slots on an internal surface. The working portion of each branch is bent from the handle in a plane of the handle at the same angle 145-160°. Said angle is formed between internal surfaces of the handle and the working portion at the branch with the window scoop, while at the branch with a one-piece scoop - between an external surface of the handle and an internal surface of the working portion. The branches are coupled together in a junction of the handle and the working portion by means of a connection, and when attached the scoops face each other by their concave internal surfaces.
EFFECT: reduced number of injuries caused by mechanical action on the orbital structures and the tumour that is ensured by specially designed demountable branches with scoops that reduces a probability of cell seeding of the incisional wound; provides reliable fixation of the tumour in the forceps; reduces time of surgical manipulations that provides improved quality of the interventions.
