FIELD: surgical instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgical instruments and can be used in ophthalmology, neurosurgery, otorhinolaryngology and maxillofacial surgery to determine the zone of exposure of underlying structures during orbital bone decompressions during orbital bone decompression. The diagnostic probe for determining the zone of exposure of the underlying structures during bone decompressions of the orbit is a metal rod with a handle 16 cm long. tip with a diameter of 2-5 mm and a flat oval working part 1-3 mm.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to verify the exposure of the dura mater, to determine and, if necessary, mark the boundaries of the bone window in the process of performing bone decompression of the orbit.
