FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly iron-based solid solder and can be used to solder stainless steel. The invention discloses solid solder, a soldering method, a soldered article and paste containing the solid solder. The solder contains the following in wt %: Cr 15-30, Mn ≤5.0, Ni 15-30, Mo 1.0-12, Cu 0.1-4.0, N≤1.0, Si 0-20, B 0-2.0, P 0-16, Fe and impurities - the balance. If necessary, one or more elements selected from: V, Ti, W, Al, Nb, Hf and Ta from about 0.0 to about 2.5 wt % each. The soldering method involves depositing solid solder onto a component made from stainless steel, if necessary an assembly of components, heating the component in a nonoxidising atmosphere, in a reducing atmosphere, in a vacuum or combinations thereof to temperature of at least 900°C, and hard soldering the component at temperature of at least 1070°C for at least 15 minutes, and if necessary, one or more of said steps are repeated. The paste contains iron-based solid solder and an aqueous binding system or an organic binding system based on water, oil or combination thereof, wherein the organic-based binder can be polymers such as polymethacrylate, biopolymers such as cellulose derivatives, starch, wax or combinations thereof.
EFFECT: obtaining an efficient solder for soldering stainless steel.
