FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to nickel-based solders, and can be used for high-temperature soldering of components from super-austenitic stainless steel operating in chloride media. Nickel-based solder for high-temperature soldering consists of, wt. %: Cr 25–35, Fe 7–15, Si 3–8, Mo 5–10, unavoidable impurities max. 1, of which C is less than 0.05, the balance is Ni. Method of high-temperature soldering of article containing at least two parts from stainless steel, including application of solder on at least one part from stainless steel and, if necessary, assembling parts from stainless steel into article, heating article to soldering temperature higher than solder liquidus temperature, at least higher than 1200 °C, holding part(s) at soldering temperature until complete termination of soldering, cooling soldered parts to temperature below solidus soldered joint, forced cooling of soldered parts from temperature of at least 1050 °C to 600 °C with cooling rate of at least 2 °C/s inert cooling gas under pressure of at least 10 bar and product extraction. Solid-solder temperature of solder alloy should be in range from 1140 °C to 1240 °C.
EFFECT: hard solder is suitable for making catalytic converters and heat exchangers.
