FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of separating quercetin from aqueous solution, involving passive diffusion thereof through a molecular-imprinted polymer membrane obtained in advance. A quercetin-imprinted membrane is obtained through polymerisation of methacrylic acid as a functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as a cross-linking agent and 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenylpropanone-1 as a photoinitiator, while adding copper (II) sulphate or nickel (II) acetate into the composition of the polymerisation mixture. Diffusion of quercetin through the obtained membrane is carried out from a mixture of tetrahydrofuran - acetate buffer solution into tetrahydrofuran or from acetate buffer solution into ethyl acetate or into a mixture of ethanol - acetic acid (9:1 vol).

EFFECT: high selectivity of the process.
