FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: doping is performed with dump slag of silicothermic fusion of refined manganese alloys containing the following components, wt %: 18-22 MnO, 0.003-0.005 P, 26-29 SiO2, 43-46 CaO, 2-4 Al2O3, 2-4 MgO, 0.1-0.2 FeO, 0.1-0.2% S, which is charged to the ladle bottom in the quantity determined with the required content of manganese in cast iron.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing specific consumption of manganese-containing raw material due to using dump slags of silicothermic fusion of refined manganese alloys, for example metal manganese, medium- and low-carbon ferromanganese.
