FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: vertical acceleration of a pantograph is calculated in the processing portion (2) of an image taken by a camera (1). The image processing portion (2) comprises an image input portion (21) for inputting an image of the pantograph photographed by the line sensor camera (1) at a measuring point of the pantograph, a pantograph position detecting portion (23) for detecting a position of the pantograph displayed by the camera (1), and a pantograph vertical acceleration measuring portion (24) at a point for contacting the pantograph with a trolled wire based on one or more transfer functions previously obtained and a displacement of the pantograph.

EFFECT: invention increases compactness of the device.
