FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pig breeding and can be used in growing piglets-sucklers. The method provides for testing of newborn piglets for the type of higher nervous activity (HNA) by means of electric shocker. After that, the piglets are divided into groups with a strong type of HNA ("sanguine") and a weak type of HNA ("melancholic"). In accordance with this regrouping the piglets are placed next to the nurse-sows, which farrowed in the same day, on all operating nipples. As a result, new-formed nests of "sanguines" and "melancholics" are obtained, in which all the piglets are aliens in relation to the nurse-sow.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables to increase live weight gain and preservation of piglets to weaning, and milk production of sows.
