FIELD: animal breeding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pig breeding, namely, to technologies for keeping animals. Method of piglet crate growing includes the allocation of zones for sows and piglets, the determination of functioning nipples in the sow and the formation of a nest according to their number. Immediately after the formation of the nest on the floor of crate, a removable surface with elastic, staggered protrusions with a height of 1–1.5 cm is laid in the area for the piglets to create an abutment for the hooves of the hind legs. Then the piglets are placed on a removable surface and kept for the first three weeks of their life on it.
EFFECT: invention provides increased safety of piglets, prevented mammary gland diseases in a sow and hypoglycemia in piglets due to the creation of comfortable conditions for the reliable retention of piglets by the pigs of a sow.
