FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of turbines and may be used as free spherical plain bearing of turbine rotors operated at high rpm (n≥3000 rpm) and high specific load (q≥20 kgf/cm2). Proposed bearing comprises self-aligning segments each provided with axial thrust, cage with oil feed channels and radial thrusts for said segments, base, springs and locating shim. Note here that said springs shaped to flat polyhedron are arranged separately and in symmetry about segment thrust and with mounting clearance in aforesaid cage.
EFFECT: equal moment of cross-section friction.
