FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to traumatology, and can be applied in surgical treatment of ingrown nail of first toe. Method includes dissection of nail plate, ablation of hypergranulations and growth zone, resection of part of wall and application of sutures. Dissection of nail plate, ablation of growth zone and granulations are performed by laser on carbon dioxide vapour with power 5 W. Depth of laser beam penetration equals 0.1-2 mm. On lateral wall on the side of affection cutaneous-adipose flap is excised at the distance 5-7 mm from wall edge. Bridge-like flap is created from remaining part of wall by acute subcutaneous dissection. Operation is terminated by application of sutures.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to improve results of operation in patients with ingrown nail of first toe, reduce number of recurrences and trauma of operation performance.
