FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: adhesive strips of phenol polyvinyl acetal adhesive are deposited on an electrically insulating glass fabric based on aluminoborosilicate alkali-free glass. The adhesive strips are dried and the glass fabric with the deposited adhesive strips is cut into workpieces in a direction which is perpendicular to the adhesive strips. A cellular bundle is collected by laying each workpiece with displacement from adjacent workpieces by half the spacing of the adhesive strips. Workpieces of the cellular bundle are glued in a press in defined conditions and a cellular block is obtained by stretching the cellular packet. The cellular block is saturated with bakelite lacquer twice with intermediate drying in air while switching on ventilation for not less than 2 hours followed by drying in a temperature-controlled cabinet in defined conditions. The saturated cellular block is solidified.
EFFECT: invention enables to produce a large-size cellular aggregate from glass fabric, having stable, high strength properties in both the adhesive strips and the entire volume.
