FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: honeycomb filler as a polymer matrix contains a cellular polyimide obtained via polymerisation of diethyl ether of benzophenone tetracarboxylic acid, diaminodiphenylmethane, ethyl ether of endic acid, furfuryl alcohol, maleic acid, as well as possibly triallylisocyanurate. Method of making glass-plastic honeycomb filler involves making a honeycomb packet from glass fabric, stretching it into a honeycomb block, impregnation with polyimide binder and solidification. The impregnated honeycomb blocks are dried in air for not less than 24 hours and hardened while heating stepwise at temperature between 180°C and 310°C.
EFFECT: improved environmental production conditions, longer life of the binder, lower hardening temperature, higher working temperature and strength of the honeycomb filler.
