FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making cellular filler from glass fabric and can be used in rocket, aircraft, ship building, construction and other industries when producing three-layer honeycomb structures (TLHS) of complex curvature. Disclosed is a method of making a flexible honeycomb, including applying adhesive strips on glass fabric in longitudinal direction and cutting it into workpieces in direction, perpendicular to the adhesive strips, assembling the honeycomb package from the workpieces with each layer shifting relative to the other by half the pitch of the adhesive strips, gluing the honeycomb package workpieces under pressure according to a given mode, formation of a honeycomb unit by stretching the honeycomb package, impregnation of the honeycomb unit with a polymer binder, followed by thermal curing, cutting it into cellular panels of a given height with subsequent uniform removal of cell faces along their entire area and height, single faces are removed from two adjacent cells, which consist of one layer of glass fabric for 50–100% of the face length over the entire area of the honeycomb panel for the full height of the panel.

EFFECT: production of flexible cellular filler with hexagonal shape of cells with size of faces of cells in range of 2.5 mm to 12 mm, which makes it possible to produce three-layer panels of complex curvature, including spherical shape.
